[not dead]

LOL I'm so sorry I kind of left for a few months there....this first semester of high school was rough. (3 cheers for all-nighters!!!!) But now that I'm on break and the year is almost over I decided to check in.
I stole this from my Instagram

Sunday, October 18, 2015

it's been a while

I'm not dead. I promise.

Life can be tough. But so can you. After all, smooth seas never made a skilled sailor. As I'm learning, you cannot plan how everything in your life will go. Because it'll never go as you planned. In way, the unexpectedness of life is a part of its beauty. We must learn to adaptable and accepting of this change, even if it's rough. Remember- it'll work it self out fine- all you need is just a little patience. ;) (Guns and Roses ftw)
John 13:7- And Jesus replied "You don't understand now what I am doing, but someday you will."

One of my favorite songs right now (I've got like 50 billion of them tbh) is "All Ends Well" by Alter Bridge. (one of my favorite bands) And keeping with the previous topic I'd highly recommend it for when you're sad or stuck.
But for now, enjoy a few of my favorite lyrics.

If I could heal your scars, show you what you are
Bind the wounds of disbelief that brought you down so far
I would be the tourniquet around your doubting heart
All in due time
Somewhere down the road, your stars will show
Somewhere down the road
You're almost home
~Alter Bridge (All Ends Well)

In the end
As you fade into the night
Who will tell the story of your life?
Who will remember your last goodbye?
~Black Veil Brides (In the End)

Cause finding what you got sometimes
Means finding it alone
And I can finally see your light
When I let it go
~Linkin Park (Until it's Gone)
Never cared for what they say
Never cared for games they play
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
~Metallica (Nothing Else Matters)
professional tree hugger

Face each day with eyes open wide
And try to give, don't keep it all inside
Don't let the day go by
~Dream Theater (The Answer Lies Within)
Not long ago you'd find the answers were so crystal clear
Within a day you find yourself living in constant fear
We all have emptiness inside
We all have answers to find
~Avenged Sevenfold (Welcome to the Family)

Tell me how it feels to live a lie
Tell me how it feels to know that it won't ever be the same
You can't deny, the house of cards just hit the floor
Don't tell me you can save it in the end
There's nothing you can do, cause when it's gone you know it won't come back again
But you don't listen anymore
You're addicted to pain, too blind to see you're lost in the shadows
You're too addicted to face the time you're gonna lose it all
~Alter Bridge (Addicted to Pain) (one of my favorites)

The fragile cannot endure
The wrecked and the jaded
A place so impure
The static of this cruel word
Causes some birds to fly
Long before they've seen their day
Let the wind carry you home
Blackbird, fly away
May you never be broken again
~Alter Bridge (Blackbird)
(totally my f a v o r i t e- it's great)

And of course I must end with the original Blackbird...:)

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life you were only waiting for this moment to arise
~The Beatles (Blackbird)

So yes, there is a tiny peek into my lyric filled mind. I hope you enjoyed this, and I'll try to post more. High school is busy, busy, busy.
Comment your favorite lyrics below!

Much love,

Lyrical Musings

I promise I'm not dead.
I'm just busy.
(Wait- is there even a difference??)
So anyway here I am and I'm gonna share some lyrics. In case you were unaware I totally LOVE lyrics. I write them everywhere, quote them all the time, and basically have lyrics for every scenario. So yeah, here are some of my current favorites in the lyric world.

Picture Questionare

I like to steal things, so I stole this idea from my good friend Kayla's blog.  (check it out folks!!)
I don't know it kinda looked fun so I decided to give it a whirl.

What picture describes your mood right now?

Sunday Style- Startin' High School

Haha sorry for being absent. With out of town family visiting I've been busy doing things all over the city! Not to mention getting ready for school starting on Tuesday, including freshman orientation. I'm really excited but kinda nervous too :P

Fruit loops and Jesus :)

Sure....why not?

That's literally my answer to everything.
People ask why, but I ask why not. Live on the edge, ya know?

Wow okay, back on track now.
So I was nominated for the "Infinity Dreams Award" by lovely Maddy and my reaction was basically "sure, why not?" I mean, I don't usually tag people but I do like answering questions. So thank you Maddy!
And I'm not doing a Sunday Style today because I literally wore this again. Yay for repeats- keeping it real here.
Also- yay for popsicles. Yummmm

Happy Fourth!/////Taking a Hiatus

Happy Independence Day!!

I found this amusing.
Anyway this is a short little post to announce the fact that I'm taking a liiiiitle break from blogging.  I'm going to camp and after that my family is going on vacation, so I won't be able to post for the next couple of weeks. I'll be back as soon as I can (late July hopefully) but until then have a great summer everyone! :)

Sunday Style- WIND

Today is surprising chilly compared the sweltering heat of recent days.
It's also windy.

Not good for pictures. My apologies. It was sunny, though.

Can you believe 2015 is almost halfway over? I can't. I literally feel like Christmas was last week. I also feel like I just started middle school, and in a little over a month I'll be a freshman. Yikes.
Live in the moment. Enjoy all life has to give. Don't waste time on regret and and worry. Be happy, enjoy your youth. Life goes by in the blink of an eye.

Let Go//Let God

I'm the kind of person who gets stressed very, very easily. I worry about everything. EVERYTHING.
I really shouldn't. And it took me a night of sobbing, vomiting, and complete distortion for me to realize that.
"Don't worry in advance" my grandpa used to say. He's right.
Worry isn't a bad thing. Sometimes worry leads to the realization that something needs to change, usually for the better. But I was worrying about everything, mostly about the future. I worried about every possible scenario, and tried to figure out my entire future and make sure I was 'all set'.
Guess what? I'm not in charge of my future. GOD IS.
Trying to plan your own future is pointless, what will happen will happen. God's got a plan.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

I've recently adopted the theme from one of my favorite songs "Patience," by Guns 'N' Roses as my own personal motto.
"Take it slow, it'll work itself out just fine. All we need is just a little patience"
Patience is NOT my strength. I struggle with it- which is probably why I worry so much about the future, I'm too impatient to just wait and see how things will turn out. I "have to" have a plan.
But God already does.

(Interjection to share my outfit for girl's Bible study tonight)
I can't go a post without him :P

Sunday Style- Happy Father's Day! And "Best Blogging Buddies Award"

Hey everyone! Happy Father's Day, be sure to be good to your daddies today. I'm so blessed to have a wonderful, wise, Christian man as my father. Ignore the lighting in the photo on the right- our living room is not the best place for selfies. :P Also, please ignore his hair in the left photo. Yikes.

Sunday Style- Picture Taking Weather (at long last!)

The sun is shining bright today! (A little too bright at times) However, it really does help with photography. Today's photos turned out great for being the shade, and I don't really know if it was the weather or a rare phenomenon called Grace-looks-decent-and-her-poses-don't-look-wacky. Hmm.....

Thursday, June 4, 2015

Well. Now I'm a freshman. Honestly it hasn't sunken in yet.
Saying goodbye to my fellow eighth graders was tough. In years past, saying goodbye came with the reassurance of seeing each other in the fall, and even if it was the move from elementary to middle school, the same people went with you. Now we are all going in different directions. While most people are going to our districts high school, me and two friends of mine are going to a local parochial school. It's an all girls Catholic school (even though I am Protestant :P) with a uniform and I am SO excited about going! I'm really going to miss some of my middle school buddies. It really saddens me that I'll never see them again. I'll never even see some of my teachers again. My favorite teacher ever retired this year. I'll tell you, that class (ACCESS) has been the best best best ever. We've all been in ACCESS together for years and we've grown and bonded and we're all so close. I love that. This year we all chipped in a bought her a jersey for her favorite football team with her last name on it. She was so shocked- she screamed. :P And today our principal had a limo (a legit limo folks) come with her family in it- not just her husband and her kids, but her cousins, her sister, her nephews, her grandson, her son from NEW HAMPSHIRE and basically everyone else- she cried. It was so incredibly special. Believe me, she deserves it. She's like a grandma to us all in ACCESS, we've laughed, talked, and even cried together. We've played games, done SO much homework, and create crazy inside jokes and sayings. Nothing will ever replace the amazing memories I have from that class.
Speaking of grandmas, (and since this post needs a desperate picture break) here is me and my lovely Mormor (swedish for Mother's mother) at my "graduation."

If You Could Use a Laugh...

I totally spelled business wrong. My apologize, English nerds. :)

First of all, I want to share this outfit  I wore shopping on Saturday. It was kinda a thrown-together simple look, basically just some colored shorts, and a graphic tee. Plus, I haven't shared a casual outfit in forever, so I decided it was time. :P

Sunday Style- I Promise I'm Alive!!

Well....that was a buuuuussssyyyy week. On Monday my class had a field trip, and on Thursday I traveled to play at elementary "feeder" schools with my middle school's orchestra. We also played at a local retirement center and one of the residents was an ADORABLE elderly lady who was 101!! (She was sooo cute!) As soon as we finished played, I, and two other girls who qualified, headed up with our coach and assistant principal to the College of Wooster for the Power of the Pen state finals. We stayed there until Friday, when we competed and eventually headed home. We drove straight from Wooster to my school where I changed and headed right into the gym for the 8th grade dance, where I had a blast with my friends.
The trip. Oh my gosh. It was the best ever. I'm 90000% sure I have the best assistant principal. Our coach is amazing and they were both hilarious and totally fun to be around. My friends and I had a total blast talking in weird voices, eating, communicating through our dorm room vents, pranking each other, making fandom references, taking ugly photos of each other, acting like crazy people, and making awkward noises when we spotted various fine male specimens. All in all I had so much fun. Even if we didn't win anything, we at least get to say we are part of the top 10% of 7th and 8th grade writers in the state, and we have so many awesome memories that it doesn't even matter whether or not we won.
Best of all, we got to keep our dorm keys. I have no idea why I love mine so much, I just feel cool wearing it I suppose. :P
This is my souvenir shirt and dorm key- the Latin says "I think therefore I am, I write therefore I live"

Sunday Style- So now I'm 14....

Yep. I'm finally 14. My birthday was on Friday. It was pretty laid back, which was super nice. Saturday was crazy. I had to be at school by 6:15 for the orchestra Kings Island trip....and we didn't get home until 10. It rained, so we didn't get to ride a ton of rides, and I spent a good portion of the day wet and freezing. However, our orchestra did great in the competition. We got 1st place in our class, and best overall orchestra. So yay- we got two trophies. *acting chill and stuff but inwardly screaming*. The band got 2nd place in their class, and chorus got 1st. On of the vocalists from chorus got a medal, so yeah, our school was well represented yesterday. :)))
It rained today, but we had a little break of sunshine, so I finally got to get outside pictures. :P

Words of Wednesday (and the Sandlot...)

Hey people! Today is a very word-y post with some quotes thrown in to break things up. :)
The upcoming weeks are going to be so busssy. Tonight is the induction ceremony for National Junior Honors Society, then on Saturday I'll be travelling with the orchestra (band and chorus as well) for our "Music in the Parks" Kings Island Day. The next week I'll be joining the orchestra on a day trip to play for the elementary school in the morning, then heading on the long drive to the College of Wooster with my Power of the Pen coach, and my two friends who also qualified, for the State Tournament. We stay overnight on Thursday and compete on Friday. Also on Friday is the awards ceremony. If we make it back home in time, my friend and I will be going to the school dance on Friday, mainly because it's the last one and only eighth graders. Also in the next couple of weeks, as school wraps up, will be the eighth grade Recognition Ceremony and things like the eighth grade picnic.
Yikes. SO busy.

Sunday Style- Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! I'm pretty biased, but honestly I have the best mom ever. :) I'm so grateful for everything she's done in my life. I've always been wild and feisty, which is quite different from Adam's calm and quiet personality. Yeah, she definitely had her hands full with me! Nevertheless, we have so much fun together- I couldn't ask for a more wonderful mom/friend.

Me and my mom being cool and taking car selfies :P

The Ups and Ews of Summertime

The weather is so wacky. Last week it was cold and wet and felt like March and now it feels like July.

Welcome to Ohio, where the weather is as unpredictable as Lady Gaga's wardrobe.
(Speaking of Lady Gaga, did any of you see her Sound of Music medley- it was really good, and a very special tribute to Julie Andrews. :))

Anyhow.... I believe summer is upon us. Which is great, I love wearing light skirts, shorts, laying in the sunshine, swimming, and all those fun things.
But summer can be pretty eeeewww-y too.
Heat and sweatiness that causes your clothes to stick to you.
The loud night croaks of the frogs that live in the creek in our backyard. SOO annoying, especially at 10pm.
Pollen. (yay for allergies)

But on the brighter side of things, our yard is looking rather pretty. Mom's really good about gardening.

Sunday Style- Busy-ness

Wow. Today has been crazy busy, which explains why this post is up so late. Heh heh sorry. As soon as I got home from church (later than usual, due to an after church meeting) I swapped my skirt for some orange shorts and headed over to my neighbors for his 1st communion party. :) And as soon as I post this, I have homework and chores to complete. Fun fun.

Sunday Style- Maxi (Again....) and Awk and Awe (Again!)

Happy Sunday everyone! I've posted this skirt before, so here is yet another way to wear it. :P I didn't wear the cardigan the whole morning, just most.
Just a side note- if I haven't mentioned this before, I shall mention it now. Maxi skirts are the best. *SO* comfy!
Anyhow...I also decided to do another awk and awe, since the last one seemed well liked. :)

Current Loves (of the music world)

It's *finally* Friday!
So as you may (or may not) know I LOVE music. Music is a way of expressing the unexpressible so to speak. I love listening to a song and being able to relate to it, I love relaxing in my room and jamming it out in the most awkward way possible, I love listening to an encouraging song when I'm upset. Music has a way of speaking to us in a way most things never will. Lyrics are wonderful, sometimes they literally sum up part of my life in a couple of phrases. I love that. My Pinterest board for lyrics is here, but I thought I could share some favorites.

Sunday Style- Awk and Awe

It's raining. I love spring rain and all, but unfortunately that meant we had to take inside pictures....yeah- not my favorite. Anyhow, I thought I'd do Awk and Awe again since I'm a pro at awkwardness, (and awesomeness mind you :P) and I haven't done one in a while.

I was interviewed!// Inspirational Tuesday (take 3)

It's back!! I decided that it'd been loooong enough since the last Inspirational Tuesday. :)
Before we get on with the inspiration I just wanted to tell y'all that I was interviewed by the fabulous Emma Bigelow. Check it out on her lovely blog- Bookworm!
Anyhow...I wanted to share my latest favorite quotes. Hope they inspire you as much as they inspired me. :)

Sunday Style- Lee Brice

Hey people! How have you been? I don't have much to say today, since it's a crazy busy day. Due to the hectic-ness I had to take self timer pictures....I apologize about that. :P
I love red and blue together. I don't know why....I just do. I don't know if you can tell, but my ring-toe is painted red. (okay seriously- what do you call it? It's basically your ring finger- but a toe....but ring toe just sounds weird...I think you get the idea though :P)

Another Tag!//Life Lately....

Hey y'all. The sweet Jamie from A Year of Nature Studies tagged me. :) So, I have a few questions to answer, and some lovely people to tag. :) Shall we begin?
So Jamie's questions are....
Do you like spaghetti?
Yes I do. :)
Do you have pets?
Yes! I have 2 cats and two guinea pigs.
Do you/have you ever had braces?
I had top braces in 3rdish grade, and then again (top and bottom) in 6th grade. Now I am officially braces free. ;)
What is your blog about?
Haha a lot of things. I share outfits, because I love looking cute and simple. But, I also share random musings and such. Sometime tags, (like this ;) ), sometimes photography I love, sometimes inspirational things. It's basically a little taste of my crazily complex mind. :)
Do you like bubblegum or something with chocolate better?
Definitely chocolate. I loove chocolate, and I'm not really a bubblegum person. :P
How many stars would give my blog?
4.5. No blog is perfect, but all the ones I read come pretty close. :)
Do you like tags or prefer people STOP nominating you?
 No I like tags. :)

 And I tag......

Sunday Style- Happy Easter!!!

I don't know about you, but I just love Easter. There's something about the flowers, the joyfulness, the bright colors, the triumphant songs, and the cheery atmosphere that makes today one of my favorite days of the year.

Sunday Style- Keep Calm and Love Cats (plus Liebster Award...again!)

Hello folks! Happy Palm Sunday! This week has been crazy. Especially the weather. Earlier this week it was sunny and warm- up to 70! But then it got reallly cold, and even snowed a tiny bit...sigh.
Anyhow. yesterday my Grandma took me to Target and we had a ton of fun. Everything I wore today was from Target, except for the skirt (Goodwill) and shoes (Payless). The shoes aren't pictured, but I wore them last week....and pretty much every week I didn't wear boots. :P The scarf is huge, but I got a lot of compliments on it. :) I also got jeans and super cute sandals. I bought cropped jeans, so they were full length for me and that way they don't bunch up at my ankles. #shortgirlproblems
Jersey joined me in the photos. I don't know, I just feel less better when he's in the picture, otherwise I feel so he's about a thousand times cuter. :)

Sunday Style- It's beginning to look a lot like spring!

So it was finally nice enough to take pictures outside! Yay! I really wish I'd painted my nails, it would've looked nicer, especially in the first photo. But whenever I paint my nails, and use a topcoat, they always chip off. Like the whole entire coat of nail polish just comes off. Usually the next day. So...yeah. Any tips?

It's that kind of Thursday

So today I posted at Girl's Living for God's Glory. The post is here. Hope y'all can check it out. So yeah, I really don't have much to share today....except for a casual outfit! For the first time in a veeeerrrrryyyy long time! Today our school had a field trip, which I posted about on the other blog. Our teacher told us to look nice. I was debating whether or not to wear a skirt, but I finally went with jeans. I kinda wish I'd gone with  a skirt, since many other girls did. But I wasn't the only girl in jeans, so that's nice. Haha anyway, excuse my messy room in the background- but here is my outfit!

Spring? Could it be?

So these past few days have been a lot warmer- oh it's been so nice to go outside with out freezing! I've been shedding some layers- I love going outside without a coat!!! :) Although, the weather tends to oddly fluctuate- gotta love Ohio. :P Buuuut.... that doesn't mean I'm not dreaming of spring. I looove spring. :) I thought I share some amazing spring photos- 'cause spring photography is lovely. :)

Group Blog Post!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! I'm not quite sure if any of y'all knew, but Maddy invited to be a part of her lovely group blog Girl's Living for God's Glory. The post is here. It's a very simple post, basically just an intro. :) Anyhow- there are more posts to come!! I also was hoping to post an outfit on here, but we got another snow day, and being home all day doesn't inspire me too look amazing. I babysat some sweet kids earlier but I wore a t-shirt and jeans....anyhow have a wonderful Thursday!

Sunday Style- Feed the Squirrels

Everyone in the Matre family is an animal lover. Especially my mom, she loves feed squirrels and birds in the cold months. There's this one little squirrel who always comes up to our back porch door for food in the winter. :) The cats stare at him, but I think he's figured out that they can't hurt him through the door. :) He (she?) is quite cute, though. I got a picture of two through the glass door this morning, but he was eating the bird's food.....oh well. He's cuter when he eats the peanuts my mom gives him. Lol he's spoiled. :) There's also a bird, but he doesn't like it when I take pictures of him. :P

Sorry I've been MIA.... it's been a busy week.
So here are some of my latest happenings.... (by the way none of the photos are mine)

My family went through my half-grandmother's (she married my grandfather after his first wife passed away) things. She had lots of art work and furniture. And aside from amazing art, I also found a full-length mirror! I'm excited because I can share more casual outfits. You see, when I come home from school I usually change into fuzzy pj pants and oversized sweatshirts, and I never get pictures taken cause you know, life happens...But having a full length mirror is gonna be awesome since it allows me to take my own photos. :) Sheesh that was a long one...

Sunday Style- with special guest! My mom!

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I have not one, but two outfits to share!! I really loved my mom's look, and hope you all do too. I love helping her pick out what to wear to church and work. It may sound weird, but it's not....hopefully. :P
And I didn't really realize that we posed the exact same way in the pictures I chose until I uploaded them. Haha, that pose turns out the best I suppose!

Laughter is the Best Medicine

How's everyone doing? I've compiled some hilarious photos that I hope will make y'all laugh. :) Shall we begin?

This blog is called The Short End of Things, so here are some hilarious short people struggles that I can totally relate to. :)
I actually have to climb on the counters to put away dishes.....

So. Much. Snow- Awk and Awe!

I've been hibernating. Literally. I haven't been to school since last Thursday!! I know- crazy right? School was already cancelled Friday and Monday because of President's Day, and then school was cancelled Tuesday and Wednesday to to snow, and then today (Thursday) they also cancelled school due to the cold temperatures, and I'm pretty sure I'll have tomorrow off school as well. I've been keeping busy, cleaning, organizing, studying, and even making snow cream!! It didn't really turn out well- in the freezer it turned into globs of vanilla flavored ice, and looks like frozen mashed potatoes, but that's okay. :)  I only got one picture of the winter wonderland I am currently residing in, but I really wished I'd gotten some when I was sledding. I was wearing black snow pants, and the individual snowflakes were visible- you could see the design in each one. It blows my mind that each and every one is different- the complexity and beauty of God's creation is astounding.

Sunday Style- Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

Happy Love day peeps! One day late...*cough*. :P
I knew I wanted to wear pink to church, since Valentine's Day was yesterday. This dress is perfect- pink, lacy, even a little red underneath. :) Our family stayed for the church lunch-in and they served picnic-y food because they know everyone is sick of winter :)
The weather has been wacky. Yesterday it went back and forth between BRUTAL winds and snow blowing everywhere, like a blizzard, and being sunny! Yes, it was sunny for part of the day! When it wasn't a snowstorm. The weather got some mood swings goin' on. :P
Anyhow, this is what I wore.

Throwback Thursday!

Hello! Today was amazing. I have tomorrow off school, so today feels like a Friday. :) To celebrate Valentine's Day my old Elementary school has an assembly for the 4th and 5th graders. And, since my dad was friendly with my music teacher, he was invited for play for the kids! He and my music teacher both played the electric guitar and another teacher played the drums. They've been doing this since my brother and I were in elementary school. They call themselves "Dr. Mac and the Groove Attack!" lol :P The kids love it- they were dancing and even had a little conga line. :) Well, a few friends and I went back to see my dad perform and visit old teachers. (Middle school lets out way before elementary school, but we start way earlier too) It was a blast! Oh how I loved that school and my teachers were such a blessing. :) One of my teachers suggested that my friends and I check out our class picture from when we were in 5th grade. OH MY WORD! We were dying laughing! Everyone looks totally different now! In 3 years we have all changed so much. It was a total blast. :) I have a few pictures that I took, but they are cellphone photos and have the worst lighting. ever. So yeah that's pictures in a cafeteria for ya. It was dark except for the stage, you can't see much but hey you get the idea. :)

Yep! That's me! I've changed so much! Haven't grown a ton as far as height goes, but I really do look different. And I've matured quite a bit since then as well.

Sunday Style- Favorite Skirt Repeat

Repeats, repeats, repeats. I've been repeating a lot lately.... However, a darling lady at our church passed on a box of some of her clothes to me, so now I've got some awesome new things to work with. :) So, I wore my maxi skirt again, but styled it differently. I hope this post shows how you can create a totally new look with a skirt just by switching tops (and shoes in my case)
So it's finally nice enough to take photos outside! It was even sunny yesterday. Even though the lighting is strange, I think these pictures are a lot nicer than they would have been inside.
PS- I had my scarf a little different earlier, more like an infinity scarf, but then there was wind so...... Also, to mix up my look a little more, I tucked my shirt into my skirt. I think it's more flattering on me. Otherwise it kinda chops my shape in half.
I love how this photo turned out. Minus the hair tie on my wrist...and my awful part line.....oops :)

Flashback Friday- Outfit, Vacations, a Tag and more!

WOW! I've got a lot to post about today. Sit back and get ready y'all. :)
So Julia posting an awesome photo of Niagara Falls made me want to share pictures of the falls I took when I went there this summer!! I also went to Sea Isle city and have pictures from that too. I was gonna do a Throwback Thursday, and then suddenly it was Friday, so Flashback Friday it was! :P I have outfit photos as well, and I last night I was tagged- so I'll cover that! Busy day! Shall we begin?
Okay, so this summer, my family and I drove to Buffalo, New York to see Niagara Falls. We didn't want to mess with passports and such, so we settled for the American side. It was beautiful. :) God made such a pretty, pretty Earth.
And may I add how misty it was. We even had to wear ponchos. :P Some of these photos are blurry, and that's why, just fyi.

Inspirational Tuesday

Not knowing what to name your posts....

Hello friends! I've found a lot of inspiring quotes lately and I thought I'd share them with y'all. I love quotes, and putting inspirational ones on my door, my binder, etc... somewhere where I can see them on a daily basis.
And I have adorable animal photos to share, because I'm a huge animal person and animals just make me happy. :)
Okay- so onto the quotes....
Don't worry about being lost, God is there and he has a plan

Sunday Style- Coral and Black

I love black and bright coral together! I got this scarf over the summer, and I just love bright orange/coral. I added it to this outfit so I wasn't wearing all black. I also painted my nails to match. I was so happy to discover that my orange nail polished matched my scarf perfectly!!
And yes, I'm wearing my favorite boots again. :) And sorry for the awkward lighting....

ANOTHER TAG! :) "You are amazing and so is your blog" award!

Two posts in one day- this is new! :P
I got nominated by Maddy ( about, hmmm 5 minutes ago? Yeah, it's so crazy how quickly I respond, but if I don't do it immediately I never will. :)
So, I'll answer some questions, tag some folks, and come up with questions.
I must stress-IF I NOMINATE YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE TO PARTICIPATE! No hard feelings whatsoever.  I don't want any of you to feel stressed because this is the billionth time I've tagged you, so don't feel like you have to do it.

 Alright guys, here goes- :)

Sunday Style- Neutrals

Happy Lord's Day everybody! I finally wore a dress! :) It took me an eternity to decide what to wear. Usually I pick an outfit out on Saturday and that's that. Well, last night I went through a couple dozen outfits, and finally picked one. But on Sunday morning I changed my mind, and went through a bunch of other combos, and I finally decided on this- due to running out of time, but I didn't really like it. I thought it was too plain, and unflattering. But I got some compliments on it, so I guess it was okay. :)
But, this blog is about real life, and in real life I don't wear perfect stylish outfits that are perfectly flattering and trendy and all that jazz. This is a really real last minute outfit for church.
(I ended up liking this look by the time church was over, by the way.) :P
